Proud grandma. When did your baby walk?

My sixth grandson will be 10 months old in a few days. He can walk down the hallway and from room to room, but what seems extraordinary to me is that he stands up from wherever he is - without needed to pull himself up. None of my kids, or other grandkids could do this. Is he exceptional, or is this just what babies can do these days?
