Help: HP Photosmart 635 2.1 MP Digi Camera?

The battery on my camera works really poorly, I've tried normal alkaline, Ni-Cad rechargables, everything. I got it free at a food show. It was being sponsored by Slim Jim. Does anyone have one, and if you do, is yours a piece of cheap crap, too?
